Monster High

Posted this on my journal thought maybe some of you might be interested in them. Let me know what you think.

Okay, I admit I have not grown up nor will I ever. I still like
dolls well fashion dolls anyways. (I tend to be afraid of baby and porcelain dolls.) I think Barbie is still quite spiffy and still have a fondness for the old gal. Now mind you I'm too old to really play with dolls, but I think collecting them can be fun.

Anyways now to announce probably one of the only good things that have come from this crazy Twilight fad and that is Mattel has decided to release a monster theme doll line because you know werewolves and vampires are now trendy. -_- (-cough- I liked that stuff before it was cool.)

All I can say is where the hell were these things when I was a little tyke. I would of loved to play with a vampire and Frankenstein girl. Okay they are pretty much the love child of Bratz and Living Dead Dolls, but I still Want one.

I know they are not the first dolls to have a horror element to them, but they seem to be the first horror inspired dolls that have been targeted to the mainstream.

Find out more about the line here

They also have them in plush form.

I think they are quite precious in plush form. I know a lot o people will hate them due to the fact they look a lot like the the Bratz line, but I think it's still cool that there is a mainstream doll line like this.

Wait they have this???

Um.. I think I saw a picture of an I-coffin as a joke in Gothic Charm School.

Ugh I am so tempted to get myself the Frankie Stein one because she is just so adorable.

Just look at her isn't she just precious. I think she would make a lovely birthday present for myself.(Especially since my birthday is the day before Halloween.

Of course as much as I like these things I can't help thinking that someone was watching Scooby Doos Ghoul School and decided to make a doll line from it.

More ooky Spooky news Disney has decided to be awesome and do a new Haunted Mansion movie that is actually going to be creepy and dark. More about it here.

I think they're really precious too. I just can't ind them anywhere around here. Which is super sad since I really want the Dracula plushies gir- shes too cute!

Back a few years ago I bought a bunch of bratz at a yard sale- dyed their hair, gave them torn up outfits and redid them to look like zombie. this is a lot like except far less scary and much more tastefully done, so I really like them. :D

hmm I know the dolls are being released in most stores like Target and Walmart. They are still relatively new so you might get your chance to have one soon.

*cackles maniacally*

I'm a toy nerd. I've been working on a spooky/witch/Halloween/monster dollhouse for the last three years. I finished the house part last fall. I'm convinced Monster High is basically the epitome and culmination of all hobbies.

Mine arrived a few days ago (pretty good deal at TRU.com) and they're everything I ever hoped for in life.

Hilariously, I've also pointed out to people that without Twilight, we would've never had such an awesome toy line produced. I broke a few brains in the process. Although the line obviously has a few nerds in production; the little booklets are full of things like "Mary Shelley's ghost!" and such. Heeeeeeeeeee.

Ah yes they still have yet to release Ghoulia the zombie. I have feeling she will be the most popular next to Frankie and Draculaura.

I tend to harp to the youngins about how great it was being a 90s kid, but I'll be honest I'm a bit jealous that I didn't have these around when I was little well them and Moxie Girls.

Oh I know the plush ones are magnificent. Of course I really don't like them enough to own them, but if I had young daughters they would be sure to get one.

Scooby doo and the Ghoul School is my all time favorite scooby doo movie next to the monster race. These dolls are pretty cute and definitely make me think of those ghouls.

Yes,the webshow is very irritating. I wish they would have been more creative with the show, but then again their target market is a younger crowd.

I just took the quiz and got Draculara. She is the one I wanted to most when I first found out about these! Did anyone else take the quiz?
